New licenses and certificates: LEGOLAND® Discovery Centre in Oberhausen relies on Identbase GmbH

Meppen/Oberhausen. Day by day, the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre in Oberhausen brings joy to children's eyes. Visitors experience in the factory how a LEGO DUPLO brick is manufactured or see miniature replicas of regional buildings in Miniland. The proud eyes grow even larger when children hold their own driver's license after passing the LEGO Racers or their personal certificate after the LEGO model building workshop. To ensure that these important certificates don't run out, Identbase GmbH has provided replenishment.

In April, the card printing specialist from Meppen sent a total of 20,000 cards to the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre. The certificates and driver's licenses are then personalized on-site for each child. "It's always nice to see the great ideas our customers come up with. Above all, it pleases me when we can make so many children's hearts leap with joy," says Marcus Brand, Managing Director of Identbase GmbH. "We quickly completed the order to be able to send the cards at the earliest possible time. With our printing machine, which is over eleven meters long, we can print over 100,000 cards per week at our location in Meppen."

"In our Centre, we create not only a world full of fun and creativity but also unforgettable moments for our young guests. Every child bursts with pride when they receive their own driver's license or hold their personal certificate after the LEGO model building workshop," says Jessica Thomalla, Marketing Manager of LEGOLAND Discovery Centre Oberhausen. "Through our partnership with Identbase GmbH, we can ensure that these special awards never run out, and the children's radiant faces are preserved for a long time."

The cooperation between Identbase GmbH and Merlin Entertainments Group, which includes the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre as well as SEA LIFE Oberhausen, has existed since December 2019. While the LEGOLAND Discovery Centre receives traditional PVC cards, SEA LIFE in Oberhausen receives so-called SAVEtheOcean cards. 99 percent of each SAVEtheOcean card consists of PVC recovered from the world's oceans. Through an extensive recycling and production process, new cards are created from the recovered material. So far, Merlin Entertainments Group has ordered a total of 130,000 cards from Identbase for the two leisure attractions in Oberhausen.
