ACR122S Serial NFC

The ACR122S contactless NFC card reader is the reader for the serial interface of the ACR122 family, which is based on 13.56 MHz technology (contactless, RFID) and complies with the ISO / IEC 18092 standard for Near Field Communication (NFC). It supports MIFARE®, ISO 14443 type A and B and all four types of NFC tags.

ACR122S is a plug-and-play device that requires no driver installation. It features an integrated ISO 7816 SAM slot for enhanced security as well as a buzzer and two LEDs for rich user interaction. The ACR122S can also read and write faster and more efficiently by using up to 424 Kbps for variable access. The range of the ACR122S is up to 5 cm, depending on the type of tag used.

ACR122S is also available in modular form for easy integration into larger machines such as POS terminals, physical access devices and vending machines. Typical applications for the ACR122S reader include e-payment, e-ticketing for events and public transportation, toll collection and network authentication.
