We process personal data you provide to perform a contract or open a customer account (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Which data are collected appears in the forms. You can request deletion of your account at any time. After full contract processing or account deletion, data are blocked with regard to statutory retention periods and deleted thereafter unless you consent to further use or we are legally permitted to continue processing.

6. Use of Data for Direct Advertising

6.1 Email Newsletter

Subscription uses double opt-in. By confirming, you consent to processing (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We store your IP, date, and time of sign-up for proof purposes. Unsubscribe anytime via the link in the newsletter or by contacting us; your email will then be deleted from the distribution list unless further use is permitted by law or consented to.

6.2 Postal Mail

Based on our legitimate interest in personalized direct advertising, we may store your name, postal address, and—if provided—title, academic degree, year of birth, and professional/industry/business designation and use them to send offers by post (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). You may object at any time.

7. Order Handling

We share personal data with service providers to fulfill contracts (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR): transport companies for delivery and payment institutions for payment processing. Where payment services are used, you are informed below.

7.2 Shipping Partners

We transmit name and delivery address solely for delivery purposes to a selected shipping partner (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

7.3 PayPal

When paying via PayPal (or related methods), payment data are transmitted to PayPal for processing (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). PayPal may perform credit checks (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). 7.4 Credit Checks – Creditsafe Germany

If we provide goods/services in advance, we may perform a credit check (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) via Creditsafe Deutschland GmbH, Charlottenstraße 68–71, 10117 Berlin. Score values may be used based on recognized statistical methods. You can object by contacting us or Creditsafe; processing necessary for proper payment handling may continue.

8. Social Media: Videos – YouTube

We use YouTube in extended privacy mode. When playback starts, YouTube may set cookies and collect usage data. If logged into Google, actions may be linked to your account. Note: References to the EU–US Privacy Shield in older policies are outdated. If you rely on EU–US data transfers, ensure appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) are in place.

9. Online Marketing – Google Ads Conversion Tracking

10. Web Analytics – Google (Universal) Analytics

11. Remarketing – Google Ads Remarketing

12.1 Google Web Fonts

13. Your Rights

Rights under GDPR include: access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction (Art. 18), notification (Art. 19), portability (Art. 20), withdrawal of consent (Art. 7(3)), and complaint to a supervisory authority (Art. 77).

13.2 Right to Object

You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21(1) GDPR). If you object, we will stop processing unless we demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds overriding your interests or the processing serves legal claims. You may also object at any time to processing for direct marketing (Art. 21(2) GDPR); in that case we will cease such processing.

14. Storage Duration

Storage depends on legal basis, purpose, and statutory retention periods. Data based on consent are stored until withdrawal. Data under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR are deleted after statutory retention if no longer necessary. Data under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR are stored until objection unless overriding grounds exist or the processing serves legal claims. For direct marketing under Art. 6(1)(f), storage continues until objection. Otherwise, data are deleted when no longer necessary for their purposes.
