The application possibilities of the DTC4500 are impressive. It is suitable for all types of cards, from simple bonus cards to RFID access control badges with integrated electronics. Thanks to its robust and reliable printing mechanism, this printer combines speed, performance and flexibility in one device. It prints ID cards using two different printing processes: Dye-sublimation for vivid colors and detailed photos, and thermal transfer for black text and barcodes. High-capacity ribbons allow the DTC4500 to print twice as many full-color ID cards as most other printers before the ribbon needs to be changed. The DTC4500 can be upgraded on site with many additional modules to meet increased security or ID card issuance requirements:
In addition to password protection for the printer hardware, fluorescent printing and optional lamination (e.g. fluorescent with customized holograms) allow you to add visual security features to your ID cards. The SmartScreen™ display shows you the status of the printer at all times.
With the dual card feeder, which comes as standard, you can increase the capacity of the card feeder. When using the appropriate software, you can process two different card types in parallel.
Easy integration into the existing IT infrastructure thanks to integrated Ethernet and USB interfaces, which enable centralized or distributed control of the card output.
Multiple users can access the printer on the network via the optional Ethernet connection.
