smart2win significantly increases the level of security when accessing a PC by using two-factor authentication based on card possession and knowledge of a PIN.

The card can be issued simply by the user or an administrator, no central administration is required.

The card serves as a secure carrier medium for the logon information. No PKI is required, but it is possible to migrate to a PKI-based logon without changing the hardware for card types with a crypto coprocessor and corresponding middleware. This enables the use of secure and complex passwords.

The password is synchronized with Windows. The user only has to remember the PIN of the card and no longer the secure, complex password. Operation with a stored PIN is also possible. smart2win can be used both for individual workstations and for networks with domains. A separate user administration is not required, a new Windows user is automatically created on the prepared card at the first logon.
