The communication electronics and mechatronics of the Clex CX6120 knob module are located in the knob module itself, together with the batteries. In addition to the frequently used radio version (868 MHz), the Clex knob module is also available as Bluetooth low energy (2.4 GHz). No complicated installation is required as the knob module is mounted using a Euro profile cylinder and is therefore suitable for all locks with a DIN Euro profile. Two conventional CR-2 lithium batteries can be used for up to 71,000 locking operations (depending on the transponder technology used). A signal tone, which has three different levels, indicates that a battery change is required. If the battery is completely flat, it is still possible to connect a low-power adapter to the power supply from the outside to change the battery.

A wide variety of transponder carriers can be used as keys for the Clex knob module. These include passive transponders (without power supply) such as ISO card CX6320, tag CX6330 and alternatively as active transponder CX6362.

The Clex knob module offers the following extended system features:

• Timer/day release possible
• Permanent engagement (toggle function) possible
• Connection to the CX6934 EMA module possible
• To change the batteries, you need the appropriate authorization to open the battery compartment
• The knob can be easily installed/removed with the appropriate authorization
• The knob is sealed and water-protected up to protection class IP66 (depending on version)
